I enjoyed the book. I'm a (very) frequent flyer and found the book to be a good balance between story-telling and technical detail. The author has done an excellent job of keeping a fascinating narrative going despite the ferocious complexity of all the manufacturing change surrounding the Dreamliner.The only downside to be aware of is that this story stops at the first flight (December 2009). Four+ years later, there's a lot of fascinating information that I'd really love to know. Hopefully the author will follow-up with a second volume. I will read it for sure.

If you are into aviation history and love to read about how new airplanes are designed and built, then this book is for you.This book also is a great source of information about the B787 and the new technologies its using to make it a revolutionary aircraft. There are also a lot of photos helping the reader to understand some of the technical topics.Your next flight in a B787 will never be the same after you have read this book. You will appreciate the many innovations that went into this new aircraft.

I read this book while attending the recent Farnborough air show. It was very informative about the vision behind the original 787, and also discussed the great impact the original Sonic Cruiser concept had on the development of the 787. A great read for anyone interested in commercial aviation.

Good book. Good text, fine paper, nice photographs. I recommend to all the people interested in Boeing Airplanes.This in the most modern.

I'm an Aero and I greatly enjoyed the book. Really great book with interesting perspective and time. Highly recommended for a great quick read.
