I’m a bit disappointed. I bought the complete, hard cover boxed set because they’ll be used by 4 kids. I prefer the durability of hardcover and like how they look on our bookshelf. However, 4 our of the 13 books are paperback.

very happy with this set! Daughter loves it. The sticker problem i have seen on previous comments was not an issue with our set. I was really worried the stickers would ruin the covers, but they must have heard all the complaints. Our books did come with stickers, but came off easily with no residue and no delamination of covers. Maybe it's because we took the stickers off the day we received? Great set!

I love this box set! The books were all in excellent shape and perfect. The only problems I had were that one of the back corners had damage, which was disappointing but not a huge deal to me because it was on the back. Also the stickers on the front for the netflix series did take a little of the lamination off when they were peeled off. Overall it was a great purchase though!

The best books around! They have a great story line and each book leads into the next unfortunate event. Slowly peel off the Netflix stickers and you're golden!

Great books! There were a few puncture spots in the cardboard that actually holds the books, but, it's cosmetic and did not affect the books themselves. I read another review that said the book pages were feathered. This is a feature of the books that gives them the "old" look, which I really enjoy. I think that this is a good investment if you have kids that like to read.

Love these books and the set is gorgeous. I love the original style of the pages that is classic Series of Unfortunate Events. The box looks great on top of my shelf.My only complaint is that they felt the need to put the Netflix sitckers in every book. Even if I’m careful to pull them off, I still pull off some of the slick coating and it’s noticeable in a certain light.

I was nervous when I bought this because there are several negative reviews. However, upon opening it, everything was perfect, the books were in great condition, and most fortunately all the books were printed right side up. The pages do have that staggered, homemade look, but that's the way the hardcover versions have always been printed, so I wasn't bothered by that. Overall this product is wonderful and reasonably priced! Great for any fan of the series

It is up to young Lemony Snicket and his not-so-competent chaperone, S. Theodora Markson, to find Miss Knight.4. As implied by the title of this book, Snicket attempts to locate Miss Knight's whereabouts by asking the obvious question. However, he soon realizes that, once again, he is asking all the wrong questions. At times, you feel that she and her husband are standing naked before you, the view is that close-up and personal. Candor is her strength and anyone who has been in a decades-relationship with a significant other will recognize much of what Shapiro describes here: The longstanding love, the frequent frustration, the occasional competition, the demands of aging parents and sick children, the mutual dependency, the financial vulnerability, the tenderness, the lust, the commitment to keep showing up for each other, and the grace that comes with the gradual acceptance of imperfection and knowledge that your lover is trying his or her best, By describing in candid detail the tiny cracks in her marriage, Shapiro illustrates that these cracks don’t add up to damage, but rather to strength---an art that the Japanese call “Kinsugi” (golden joinery), in which cracks in pottery are repaired with gold, silver or platinum, so that breakage and repair are considered part of the vital history of a piece rather than something to hide. I love Dani Shapiro's writing, and when this book came out it rose to the top of my pile of "to reads" and I wasn't disappointed. Everything looks different from the inside, and a marriage is one thing we rarely see through that lens. At times poignant and sweet, others cast with an essential sadness. I would give it 5 stars...since I didn't put it down....I read it through to the end, but around page 127 it became a bit self indulgent and she lost me. Honestly, I'm not even sure that particular drama was necessary, but maybe it was just over my head.One thing that I loved was reflecting my own marriage in this one, and at times noticed a little smile come to me as I recalled seeing my husband for the first time too. We hardly ever get a chance to do those little things....

I'm reading it again. I'm ordering it for my friends. I'm playing this audiobook as I run errands. It's making me wish I had more errands to run.What I especially loved about this memoir:--the book builds on itself, rewarding our own memories as we read--the connections that Shapiro makes across the moments of her marriage answer one of the key questions of the book: how does a relationship and marriage sustain itself beyond those first eighteen months of infatuation/love--Shapiro's honesty drew me in--it's not "too cool" to tell a love story

Loosely plotted snippets from a long marriage of two writers Beautifully written. Struggles, success, family and doubts about a course committed many moons ago.

The author weaves back and forth in time effortlessly, interspersing quotes from other authors all while being present in her story. This book is a gem.

It's hard to say how much I loved this book. I began to feel shaky and lost as I realized there were less than 20 pages left. Still, the deep understanding of the author's words, the honesty of her life unfolding into joys and worries, her quiet observations and questioning way about her life. As someone who was nicknamed "the thinking woman" by my husband, long before we married- as a response to my constant cerebral focus on our relationship... "what did you mean?" or "remember when you said that?" I appreciate the way Dani Shapiro clings to life's slings and arrows, processing, processing. Her writing is so beautiful- smooth as sand, honest as the boldest, unfiltered confession. This "disinterested" reader fell madly into her pool of life. ( You'll understand once you read this lovely book.) I'm not even sure it should be called a memoir: it's a story, and a journal and a love letter to life, family, the process of getting through it all. And yes, I listen to The Bridge on Sirius, and yes, I watched the Youtube video of Carly and James singing "Devoted to You." And yes, I will return to this book- for its truth, its magic, its beauty.

I had an older one from waaaay back. Found that one useful then, this is useful now. Beware, however, about attractions and rides that are being refurbished, redesigned or closed for some other reason. After you make your selections from the book, get on the WDW website and see if your faves are open for when you'll be there.

If you are going to Disney World, get this book and read it. I did that the first time I went to Disney World (in 1993) and it was immensely helplful in navigating the parks effectively. Through the years I have purchased the current book periodically. This book is revised every year as Disney changes attractions and it is very helpful to have the current book when planning an upcoming trip. We just got annual passes for Disney World this year so I decided it was time to update. I'm glad we got the current book as a lot has changed in the last few years.

I am so very happy I purchased this book. We will be traveling to WDW in September 2016 and although I have been to Disney before, many, many things have changed so I needed something that would provided updated, clear information on FastPass+, Advanced Dining Reservations, Hotel Selection and general overall guidance regarding the Disney Parks. I saw this book in store before purchasing on Amazon and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The colors inside of the book are great and I love that they have included pictures with many of their reviews. I also love the coupons that they included in the back of the book. They are going to be a great help when we are there. The tips and tricks that are included are awesome and I plan on using a lot of them when we travel to WDW. If you're taking a Disney Cruise, there is a small section in the back of the book for that as well. I'm not sure how good it is as I haven't looked at it, but just for an FYI. In the way back of the book as well, they have laid out a few pages for you to create an itinerary for your trip. It's perfect and gives you spaces for flight and hotel information, FastPass+ reservations and Advanced Dining Reservations. Although I had already booked our hotel and park tickets before purchasing the book, I really liked being able to read the reviews of each of the hotels and the differences in each of the Park Tickets. If you're looking for an excellent, overall travel book for Disney, this is the one to get!

This is actually a very nice book. If you are planning a trip to Disney World, this is a great book for your kids. It really helps them know all the attractions and get even more excited about going!Do note that it is basically the exact same book that we have from 2011. If I had realized it wouldn't change with the exception of adding 1 ride, I would have just stuck with our older version.

Great overview for kids. My 6 year old boys liked it! We used the autograph section in back too.The one thing I didn't like is that MANY reviews of different attactions were listed as "scary". Once the idea of "scary" is put in a child's mind it's hard to get past that to form their own opinion. The book should just stick to the facts in their descriptions like wet ride, dark, fast, surprises, etc.As previous posters mentioned, some of the attractions listed in the book were closed, but we just explained that to the kids in advance and they were fine with it.

I ordered this for my ten year old. She really likes it. There are places she can write in things and do a countdown until our trip. I like the fact that the pages are colorful and divided into sections. There are chapters on each of the Disney parks and have real kids telling about their experiences. It is easy for my daughter to read and understand. It describes each of the parks rides and attractions as well as the water parks, Disney Springs and talks about the resorts, best places to dine for a specific item, mini golf and other things to do at Disney. At the end there is even a section for autographs and a scrapbook section. The 160 pages are packed with all types of Disney tidbits, facts, and activities. I highly recommend this and think its geared for children 8 and up but it's also a good guide for parents taking children about things to do. I confess, I've actually skimmed through it getting ideas too.

My teens love this book as do I. We have been Birnbaum fans since they first started publishing. Pictures are top quality and they go into great detail on staying at WDW, rides and full of little tips on how to end your trip from WDW as happy as it started. I would highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been in a couple of years, they have "magic bands" and new "fast pass" system that to many would confuse (not to mention feeling short changed if the day they arrive can't get on their favorite rides because they failed to FP+ in advance)

Awesome travel companion for kids (and families) who are preparing for a trip to WDW! Anyone who has ever gone to WDW understands that you truly have to plan this trip - and by plan, I mean truly plan like you have never planned a vacation before in your entire life and probably never will again. Unfortunately, the adults end up doing all of the planning and this results in dragging the kids around for the entire vacation - hoping to create the "perfect vacation." This is a great way to get your kids involved in the planning so you know what they are actually interested in doing.

I have known the author Michael Zuber for several years and he was a mentor to me as I started my rental investment journey. Starting with our first rental we quickly expanded to four and are now in the process of selecting a fifth property. There are a number of resources out there when it comes to investing in rental properties, but to be frank, some of these resources can be less than trustworthy as they may have less than ethical goals of getting you to invest in some sort of scheme. Zuber is the opposite of this, he genuinely wants to help people understand how to invest in rental properties to help build semi-passive income. I say "semi-passive" because Zuber is very clear that building a rental portfolio takes work, but illustrates how to go about doing it so that your efforts lead to a second income that you control. If you are thinking of investing in rental properties I highly recommend this book as it will save you quite a bit of time and headaches, as you are learning from a seasoned expert and the real-life examples provided throughout the book help drive the concepts home.

Mike does an excelent job of laying out a plan that takes into account a practical approach to finacial freedom for the working professional. He does this by laying out some basic ground rules and real life experiance that is easy to follow and practical.Its refreshing to read a book that is not written as an introduction to an expensive real estate program that you need to purchase to get the real "secrets". Mike layes it all out there to make it work.Great read.

outstanding book that provided a step by step plan to financial freedom!Michael did a nice job laying out the entire book that allows the reader to understand the entire process including how to find the property, the one percent rule, avoiding alligators and key notes on financing assets.This is an excellent book! I am a real estate professional that has sold hundreds of millions of dollars over the last 20 years. This book is a very simple and approachable method to starting your path to financial freedom through owning rentals. It never speaks above the reader nor trys to impress them with their success. It’s open and honest and arefreshing change from all the crooks to try to take advantage of people wanting to invest in real estate. They try to get them to use their programs, etc. and their books are usually just a ploy to get them to join their scams. This book is a must if you want to purchase one or 50 rental homes. It should be on every aspiring investor’s shelf.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and all the years of insight into real estate investment wrapped up nicely in an easy-to-read, no BS, just the facts, guide. Mr, Zuber is honest and straight-forward with the "how-to" parts and there is not a lot of fluff to cut through, which I appreciated. Plus, the way he tells his personal story (as well as many other related stories) I found to be very inspiring and encouraging, giving me hope that perhaps I, too, might be able to do this after all. IF you are interested in starting your own real estate investment journey, you should buy this book now. IMHO, it's a good value for the price.

I watched Michael Zuber's YouTube channel for several months and bought his book the week it came out. I hope people read his book and watch his channel. He isn't a "rah rah" kind of guy. He comes across as very real and matter of fact. He doesn't seem to want anything other that to share what he and his wife have been able to create with others. He's not trying to sell you on himself, but more, on yourself...on your ability to do what they did, if you really want to. He tells all and let's you decide. This really resonated with me and where I am in life.

Incredible layout of how Michael himself achieved his goals and now he is sharing those steps with everyone. Being able to study the things he did wrong and right, allow me to avoid the mistakes he made and choose the right path when making decsions. If you want to gain financial freedom in real estate, start with this book!
